Alva woman charged with harboring a fugitive

Another felony charge has been filed against an Alva woman who was charged Nov. 8 with possession of controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) within 1,000 feet of a daycare.

Joy Michelle Fife, 19, of Alva has been charged with harboring a fugitive from justice, a felony. The crime is punishable by imprisonment of up to 10 years and a $10,000 fine.

Alva police and other law enforcement officers had been searching for Justin McClary, a fugitive who had escaped from law enforcement as he was being arrested on a warrant. McClary was located Nov. 18 in the attic of a residence at 1113 Barnes St....
