Attorney: Oklahoma lawmaker didn't know about settlement

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A sexual harassment complaint against a Republican state lawmaker was settled without the representative's knowledge or input, attorneys for the Oklahoma House said Friday.

The former legislative assistant to Rep. Dan Kirby of Tulsa and her attorneys were paid $44,500 to settle her complaint that she was fired in November 2015 without an explanation in retaliation for reporting the alleged harassment.
