Allen E. (Skeeter) Bird, CEO of the Northwestern Foundation, presents the semi-annual scholarship bill to the Alva City Council Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The Alva City Council kept it short in the first meeting of 2017 held Tuesday, Jan. 3. Guests from Northwestern Oklahoma State University addressed the council concerning the semi-annual bill for scholarships provided by a city sales tax.
Allen E. (Skeeter) Bird, CEO of the NWOSU Foundation, presented the bill for $295,114.72 to cover fall semester 2016 incentive scholarships for students. Dr. David Pecha, vice president for administration, was also present to answer any questions.
