The Alva High School Ladybugs hosted the Newkirk Lady Tigers in an intense match-up Tuesday night for their homecoming.
It was a tough start for both teams in the first quarter as the first score didn't come till five minutes into the first quarter as Newkirk was the first to end the drought with a left corner three from Katelyn Schieber for the early 0-3 lead over the Ladybugs. However, Whitney Randall responded with a quick three-point play of her own, draining the driving layup along with her free throw to tie the game up at 3-all.
