Pruitt will bring much-needed sanity to EPA

Did you ever dig a ditch, say, six feet long and two feet deep and then have it fill up with rain water? Did you consider it the equivalent of the Mississippi River? Of course not, but the federal Environmental Protection Agency does.
EPA also refers to the 1-inch mounds of soil between a farmer’s plowed furrows as “mini-mountain ranges” and thinks a farm pond is indistinguishable from Lake Michigan. That kind of nonsensical regulatory overreach is just one reason that the confirmation hearings on the nomination of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to head the EPA are so crucial....
