Man charged with false sex offender registration

While doing a sex offender registration compliance check in January, Alfalfa County Deputy Sheriff Gary Mast learned that a man had not been living at his registered address since May 2016.

According to court records, on Jan. 10 while doing a random compliance check, Mast went to an address on North Grand in Carmen. No one answered the door. The next day about 7:15 p.m. he saw a vehicle parked in the driveway and stopped again. This time he made contact with a resident who said Cory Wilfinger had been living there but he had kicked him out in May for not paying any bills. He said he thought...
