South Barber Basketball Homecoming Friday Night

LADY CHIEFTAINS TAKE THIRD AT 54 CLASSIC BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT – Playing in the 54 Classic last week in Pratt, the South Barber Lady Chieftains took third place. They won their opening game against Kinsley 61-55. Friday night they lost to Cunningham 42-32. Saturday they beat Norwich 45-37 to place third in the tournament. Steve Roberts is head coach of the Lady Chieftains with the assistance of Brenda Beecher. This Friday night, Feb. 3, the South Barber High School Chieftains host the Stafford Trojans for 2017 Basketball Homecoming at the gymnasium in Kiowa, Kansas.

Coronation festivities happen at half time of the boys game. One of three senior young women will be crowned homecoming queen. They are: Sabrina Hughbanks, Anna Perez and Madison Polson.

Underclassmen attendants and their escorts are: Freshman – Makenzie Watts and Trevor Rooks; Sophomore – Savannah Hughbanks and Hernan Carbajo; Junior – Idallis Shaffer and David Belohlavek.
