Woods County 4-H competes at Northwest District 4-H Has Talent Contest

Waynoka 4-H Club members (from left) Kaitlyn Rich, Sarah Whipple, Davin Budy, Kooper Rich and Austin Rankin, received third place in the Large Group Act category for their performance of "Synchronized Swimming."

Young people from all over Northwest Oklahoma shared talents and lots of fun Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Northwest District 4-H Has Talent Contest held at the Fairview School Auditorium.

Eleven individual acts, four small group acts and five large group acts from 11 counties were on the program Saturday.

"4-H Has Talent is a talent-sharing activity designed to help boys and girls discover, develop and demonstrate talents and begin to appreciate the performing arts," said Jim Rhodes, Northwest District 4-H youth development program specialist. 4-H members have the opportunity to work and play tog...
