Hickman to work with Great Salt Plains Health Center

Former Speaker of the House Jeff Hickman visited the Alva Kiwanis Club meeting Feb. 1.

Great Salt Plains Health Center (GSPHC) CEO Tim Starkey announced that Oklahoma House Speaker Emeritus Jeff Hickman joined his administrative team to do public affairs and outreach work. GSPHC is headquartered in Cherokee with health clinics in Enid and Medford. Starkey also announced the receipt of a federal grant to build a new clinic in Canton.

"I am pleased to be working with the Great Salt Plains Health Center to address healthcare access issues here in northwest Oklahoma," Hickman said. "Federally Qualified Health Centers are a great solution to the challenges for those who are uninsured...
