January Student of the Month Lexie Shafer.
Lexie Shafer, a senior at Alva High School and the daughter of Kenny and Tina Shafer, and sister to Emily Shafer, has been named January Student of the Month.
Shafer has been a part of both the softball and basketball teams, as well as Student Council. Along with these things, she was also a class officer.
Shafer plans to earn a degree in biology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and later attend chiropractic school. Her advice to freshmen is to "give it 100 percent in everything you participate in." Shafer is an outstanding student, which has helped her to receive the January Studen...
