Alva City Council members thought everything was set for the municipal election in April. They’d approved the election resolution and the notice had been published with four council seats (Seat 1 in each ward) and the city treasurer position open for filing next week.

However, the city was notified by the election board that two other council seats need to be on the list. Those two council members were appointed to fill vacancies.
