Alva woman injured in collision with deer

An Alva woman was injured when her vehicle struck a deer in Woodward County Friday. Patricia Jessup, 53, of Alva was taken by Freedom EMS to Alliance Health in Woodward where she was admitted in stable condition with neck and trunk internal injuries. She was then transferred by Air-Evac to OU Medical in Oklahoma City.

The collision occurred at 7:35 a.m. on State Highway 50 approximately 19.1 miles north of Mooreland. According to the highway patrol report, Jessup was driving a 2009 Chrysler 300 south on State Highway 50, struck a deer and departed the roadway to the left. The vehicle rolled tw...
