Samantha Kaelyn Greer, the only senior at Freedom High School, was honored during the final basketball game of the regular season Tuesday night. The Eagles played Hardesty.

Senior Samantha Greer cheers on the Lady Eagles at the Hardesty game Tuesday evening.

During the recognition, the announcer said, "Sam is the best senior at Freedom High School. She is the middle daughter of Bonnie and Robert Greer and the sister of Tiffany and Rikki Greer. Sam is recognized as Miss Freedom, a cheerleader, a blood donor, class president and an FFA member.

"In the past Sam has participated in volleyball, track and field, tennis, basketball and drama. During Sam's free time she likes to go fishing, hunting and spending time with her dog 'Peanut' and her family.

"Sam's plans after graduation are to go to NWOSU in Alva and major in criminal justice and psychology. After college Sam plans on becoming a police officer and wants to work her way to becoming part of a K9 unit.

"Sam's favorite quote is 'Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on.'"
