Son of BJCC inmate allegedly murdered in Norman

A father incarcerated at Bill Johnson Correctional Center in Alva is grieving the death of his 20-month-old son. The baby was found dead with bruising around his throat and dried blood near his nose at his home in Norman. Police officers were called to the home just after 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Preliminary reports from the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office show that Maddox Wyatt Abner likely died from blunt force trauma, according to KFOR-TV.

On Tuesday Norman police arrested Jake Ryan Holman, 25, in connection with the boy’s death. He was taken into custody on first degree murder....
