Freedom one person short on trustee filing

Freedom City Clerk/Treasurer Cindy Reed reported to the Freedom town board last week that no candidate filed for Ward I of the town trustees. At present, the seat is held by Rolando Galindo.
Shad Brackin was the only candidate to file for Ward 3. A race developed with both Cindy Reed and Kristina D. Hopper filing for the clerk/treasurer position.
Much of the meeting time was utilized in discussing the contract presented by Harper Sanitation Service. The greatest problem was determining the area of service as Harper has some private customers near some of the town's customers. Also, in the past...
