RIPLEY, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded a magnitude 3.7 earthquake in northern Oklahoma.

The USGS reports the quake struck at 9:33 a.m. Thursday near Ripley, about 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. No injuries or damage are reported and geologists say damage is not likely in earthquakes below magnitude 4.0.

The earthquake came following a 2.5 magnitude temblor at 2:08 a.m. near Waynoka, about 95 miles northwest of Oklahoma City.
