Traffic stop results in drug arrest

A driver stopped for driving with her high beams on in Alva ended up being arrested on drug charges. Miranda Jo Gilliland, 34, of Freedom has been charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine), a felony. The crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to five years and a fine of not more than $5,000. Her bond was set at $10,000.

According to court documents, Woods County Deputy Sheriff Adam Honeyman stopped Gilliland about 10:39 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, on Barnes Street near Meno. The vehicle had both the high beam headlights and fog lights on as it met Honeyman...
