Hillcats Down RiverHawks, 8-6, to Sweep Season Series

CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State baseball team downed in-state rival Northeastern State, 8-6, on Tuesday (Feb. 21) at the Diamond Sports Complex to sweep the two-game home-and-home season series.

NSU gained an early 3-0 lead, but the Hillcats rallied to get the 8-6 victory. RSU posted 17 hits in the contest.

The RiverHawks scored the first three runs of the game, and still led, 4-3, after three complete innings.

After falling behind early, the navy and red plated one run in the second inning on an RBI double by Jordan Garr for a 3-1 score. NSU hit a solo home run in the third, but the navy...
