Country singer Holly Dunn was booked to perform at a hotel in Reno, Nevada, in 1990 when I, along with a colleague of mine from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, was in town to attend an academic conference.

At my suggestion, we and another friend of ours from Oklahoma State University went to see her show the night we landed in town.
