Woman charged with illegal voting

A Waynoka woman was charged with voting illegally in the Feb. 14 school election, but a week later the court dismissed the charge.

According to court documents, on Feb. 16 Woods County Election Board Secretary Sandra Koehn reported to District Attorney’s Investigator Steve Tanio that Margo Castillo voted illegally on Feb. 14. Koehn said on that date there was a school board election for the Waynoka School Board.

Koehn said Castillo told the provisional ballot inspector Charlene Keller that she was registered to vote even though the election board had no record of her as being registered. Koehn...
