ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist dropped both ends of a Great American Conference softball doubleheader at Henderson State Saturday, 5-3 and 8-0.
OBU scored runs in each of the last three innings of the opener on an RBI single by Sam Barry in the fifth, Madison Vaughan's third home run of the season in the sixth and an RBI single by Bry Flanagan in the seventh.
Cheyenne Demaree singled in the fourth inning to thwart a no-hitter in the second game.
Pitching losses were charged to Haylee Zimmerman and McKenzie Jones.
OBU had eight hits, including two each by Vaughan and Jill Shipman.
The Lady Bison return to action with a 3 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday at home against Oklahoma Panhandle State.
