Cherokee residents charged with child neglect, drug possession

Two Cherokee residents are charged with child neglect and drug possession after a search warrant was served at their home.
According to court documents, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Agent Brandon Powell obtained a search warrant for the residence of Christian and Sara Smith on S. Massachusetts Avenue in Cherokee. The warrant was served on Feb. 17 about 6:05 a.m.
During the search, a small amount of concentrated marijuana extract known as dab, a small amount of a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located.
