On Feb. 21, Alva High School choir went to compete at the district contest at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The high school took a mixed choir, treble choir and tenor/bass choir, along with solos, ensembles and duets. The tenor/bass choir received excellent ratings in performance and sight reading. Mixed choir and treble choir received superior ratings in performance and sight reading and will now continue on to the state vocal contest.
