Saturday, Feb. 25, the Alva Ladybugs won their advancement to the area tournament in a nerve-wracking win against Chandler. As it sinks in that this will be the seniors', Whitney Randall, Cathy Mapes, Ally Riley, Jordan Shiever, Allison Seevers, Lexie Shafer and Mattie Duncan, last area tournament of their high school basketball career.
