Alva 4th graders place 2nd in OAAC Academic Bowl

Alva's own Lincoln School fourth-grade academic team placed second in the OAAC Academic Bowl at the Northwest Technology Center on March 2.

The vo-tech in Alva was alive with fourth graders on Thursday, March 3, from all over the area who came to participate in the Oklahoma Association for Academic Competition (OAAC) Academic Bowl. Teams participated from Alva, Crescent, Drummond, Banner and Chisholm. Each team contained six to seven students. The space for the competition was graciously volunteered and donated by Northwest Technology Center. Drummond won first place and Alva won second place at the event.
