Storm Split With Blossoms: SNU fell 8-0 and won 4-3 in a GAC doubleheader

BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene got its first home win of the season as it split with Arkansas-Monticello, falling 8-0 in the first game and winning 4-3 in the second game Friday afternoon.
After two innings of scoreless play, Arkansas-Monticello grabbed a 3-0 lead in the third and never looked back. The Blossoms tacked on five more runs in the fourth to make it 8-0. UAM held the Crimson Storm to just one hit in the opening game.
Katelyn Brown (2-4) got the loss after she pitched 3.2 innings, while giving up eight runs, on seven hits. Brown also struck out five batters and walked four.
