CHEROKEE, Okla. – Jake was born November 1, 1925, in Duncan to William Eli and Roma Brown and passed from this life at Share Medical Center in Alva on March 4, 2017, at the age of 91. Jake grew up around Duncan. He joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and served until April 23, 1946. He served in the Philippines.
