The Alva High School Goldbugs baseball team started their season the road as they faced off with Pioneer-Pleasant Vale on Thursday and Jones on Friday.
Game One
The Goldbugs had a tightly contested game on Thursday, narrowly getting their first win to open their season with a 1-0 victory over Pioneer.
The game remained tied at zero-all for most of the evening until the seventh inning. With two outs in the top of the seventh, T.W. Beiswanger hit a double line drive to right field to score Chase Jones across home plate for the Goldbugs first run of the game.
