"I've been on the city council before and I enjoyed it. It gives me an opportunity to do something to help Alva."
Roger Hardaway is a history professor at Northwestern Oklahoma State University who has lived in Alva most of his adult life and taught at Northwestern Oklahoma State University for 27 years.
"I love the university. I think what's good for the university is good for the city," he said.
Hardaway said he wants voters to know that the main thing he wants to do as a city council member is just represent the city and do what he can to make the city a better place for more people to live...
