Two charged in May 2016 drug buy

Two Alva residents were charged with marijuana distribution following a monitored drug purchase last year. On March 20, 2017, James Wallace Weinhoffer, 52, of Alva and Keisha Marie Fischer, 36, of Alva were each charged with distributing controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) within 2,000 feet of a park or school, a felony. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for four years to life and a fine of up to $40,000. The location of the incident was within 2,000 feet of the Lutheran Early Care and Education Center and Longfellow Elementary School.
