The Oklahoma Department of Corrections Board was officially welcomed to Alva Wednesday by (Acting) Warden Becky Guffy. Later in the meeting she was named the full warden at Bill Johnson Correctional Center (BJCC).

Guffy said she wanted to introduce the Alva Community Citizens Advisory Committee members who were in attendance. She said this committee deserves a very special thank you that has led to the success of BJCC, and she appreciated how the committee has stood behind the facility in good times and in bad.
