Ohio school district makes safety changes after student shot

WEST LIBERTY, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio school district is installing a fully opening escape window in each classroom, switching door locks and considering hiring a safety officer in the wake of a shooting that injured a student there.
West Liberty-Salem Local Schools Superintendent Craig Hissong tells the Springfield News-Sun (http://bit.ly/2nO19fq ) he thinks the safety measures in place before the January shooting worked, but the district is constantly trying to improve.
