Harvey stars in 200 meters to cap off strong weekend in Texas

SAN MARCOS, Texas (April 1, 2017) – Oklahoma Christian's Lawanda Harvey capped off a successful weekend in her home state with a standout performance in the 200 meters on Saturday in Texas State's Bobcat Invitational.
Harvey, a freshman from Frisco, Texas, ran the race in a career-best time of 24.53 seconds, which would have met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time in the event had the time not been wind-aided. Competing against a field full of NCAA Division I runners, Harvey finished 15th among 78 women.
