Parra Ties Career Wins Record with Shutout

 


ALVA – Oklahoma Baptist senior Jinny Parra tossed a two-hit, 10-0 shutout at Northwestern Oklahoma State to notch his 35th career win for the Bison Saturday.

That win ties Parra with Bison legends David Hocking and Darrin Fowler for the career wins record. Hocking ended his career in 1989 and Fowler in 1992, each with a 35-13 career record. Parra is now 35-10.

Parra Saturday allowed two singles and struck out 14 batters. He will likely get his first chance to take sole possession of the record next weekend when the Bison host Southwestern Oklahoma State.
