Alva Superintendent Steve Parkhurst announced Monday night that he had received a letter of resignation from Alva Middle School Principal Ron Sunderland. Already the district has been notified that Steve Shiever will not be back at Longfellow School, and Ron Argo has been moved from Lincoln Elementary to serve as assistant superintendent.

One other resignation letter was received from music teacher Carla Mitchel.
