Woods County Courthouse lawn approved for egg hunt

 


The Woods County commissioners, during their Monday, April 3 regular meeting, approved the use of the courthouse lawn for the annual Alva Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt will be on April 15.

A full quorum was met for the meeting. Present were John Smiley, David Hamil, Randy McMurphy, Shelley Reed, Brooke Murphy and (for the Newsgram) Stephanie Lambert.

Next, the board discussed and approved a transfer of appropriation within the general fund for the election board from M&O to part-time services in the amount of $500.

Two inventory resolutions were approved by the board of commissioners. The first inventory resolution was to remove from inventory a 1977 Dodge that was junked, and a 1966 Ford that was sold. The next inventory resolution was to remove District 1's 2001 belly dump trailer (ID # D348-040), which was sold at Mike Graham Auction for $9,000 with a $720 commission, which makes the final total $8,280.

The next item on the agenda was the discussion and possible action regarding the name change of the health department requisition officer from Patti Kilgore to Patti Steelman.

Blanket purchase orders and monthly appropriations were approved, as well as the monthly reports for the assessor's office, county clerk, health department, and treasurer's office. The totals are as follows: Assessor Collections, $493.00; County Clerk Collections, $21,857.82; Health Department Collections, $18.05; Treasurer Balance, $128,495.14. The minutes of the last meeting, a regular meeting held March 27, were approved.

A Letter of Consent to return acres to the current owner after completion, per State Job #25493(04) Salt Fork River Bridge, was approved.
