SHAWNEE –Brett BerghammerandHunter Heathcombined for eight hits and six RBI as Oklahoma Baptist routed Bacone 9-3 Wednesday in non-conference baseball action.

Both Berghammer and Heath were 4-of-5 with Berghammer driving in four runs and Heath two.

OBU never trailed after breaking a scoreless tie with a four-run second inning.Nick BurnhamandZane Gelphmanhad RBI singles to sandwich a two-run double by Berghammer.

After allowing a Bacone run in the fifth, OBU scored three more in the home half of the inning with back-to-back RBI doubles byJuan Gonzalezand Heath before an RBI single by Berghammer.

The Bison scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Heath and in the seventh on an RBI single by Berghammer.

Heath had two doubles and two singles, Berghammer had a double and three singles and Gelphman contributed three singles to the 14-hit Bison attack.

AJ Merkel(4-2) got the win withZach FowlerandBrad Adamseach throwing a scoreless inning.

Now 22-12, the Bison host Southwestern Oklahoma State in a single game at 6 p.m. Friday and close the weekend Great American Conference series with a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday.
