BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) — A city councilor in Oklahoma says he's raised enough money to build a memorial garden dedicated to several members of a family that were killed in their home last year.
Broken Arrow Councilor Mike Lester announced Sunday that he has reached his $50,000 fundraising goal to purchase the property of the Bever family, which he plans to turn into the garden, the Tulsa World (http://bit.ly/2oXlMce ) reported.
"It was contributions not only from Broken Arrow but from the larger Tulsa community," Lester said of the donations received.
