Blancaflor betters program record in 1500 meter; Lady Muleriders record five Top 10 finishes on Friday at Carl Kight Invitational

 


NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Freshman distance runner Claudine Blancaflor continued her record-setting spring on Friday at the Skecher's Carl Kight Invitational as she bettered her own program record in the 1500 meter by producing a second-place time of 4:35.64, while the Lady Muleriders added four more Top 10 finishes amidst tough competition.

Blancaflor's previous school record stood at 4:38.26 which she set at the Louisiana Classics.

In the 3000 meter Steeplechase, freshman Sierra Romero-Hearrell registered a team season best with a ninth-place performance of 12:41.18. Justice Reliford placed fifth...
