Jones, 5K runners lead Eagles in Friends Invitational

 


WICHITA, Kan. (April 8, 2017) – A windy day benefitted Oklahoma Christian's sprinters at the Friends Invitational, but the Eagles' 5,000-meter runners also fared well in the meet at Adair Austin Stadium that ended Saturday.

A slew of OC sprinters posted career-best times (albeit wind-aided) and one of them, senior Joshua Jones, did so in an event in which the wind didn't need measured, the 400 meters. Jones matched his best-ever time of 49.72 seconds in that event to go with a 22.02-second clocking in the 200 meters.
