Men's Tennis Splits Weekend Matches

DURANT, Okla. – No. 19 Southeastern opened its weekend with a key 6-3 win over No. 39 Ouachita Baptist, but saw its momentum cut short with a 5-4 loss to Harding to close out the weekend.
The split moves the Savage Storm to 9-6 overall on the season and 1-1 in Great American Conference play with an April 10 matchup versus Oklahoma Baptist being for piece of the regular season GAC championship.
Kelian Bouteiller and Netanel Alcabas held serve in the top doubles spot with an 8-6 win over OBU's Juan Moncado and Luis Chab.
Alberto Blesa and Guillermo Pardos would match the 8-6 score with a win at two doubles, while Mislav Colak and Petar Popovic would do the same with an 8-6 win at three to take a 3-0 lead out of doubles.
Blesa would continue his momentum with a 6-4, 6-3 win at the top singles spot over Lennert Lonneman.
The Tigers would respond with wins at numbers two, three and four to close the gap to 4-3.
However, a 6-1, 6-3 win by Colak at number five would clinch the match victory, while Pardos tacking on a 6-4, 6-1 win at number six fashioned the 6-3 final score.
The Storm got off to one of its worst starts of the season against HU, dropping all three doubles matches and heading to singles play in a 3-0 hole.
SE bounced back strong in singles play as Blesa diowned Alejandro Sendra 6-2, 6-3 at number one to get the Storm on the board.
Bouteiller would add a 6-4, 6-4 victory at number three, with Colak chipping in a 6-2, 6-0 decision at four.
Pardos would also pick up a singles win, taking his match at number six by a 6-4, 6-1 score.
Unfortunately, the rally was cut short with the Bisons picking up win at two and four to steal a 5-4 final in the match.
