The Red Team held off a late rally by the White team to win Sporty Bowl XVI, Henderson State's spring football game 23-15, Saturday at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium/ Ruggles Field.
The Red Team began the scoring late in the first quarter as Julio Cervantes booted a 21-yard field goal just before the end of the first quarter.
Jeremy Wilson added an 8-yard touchdown run with 2:53 left in the first half to push the lead out to 10-0.
