Tigers come up just short against Blossoms in series finale

 


ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' softball team (16-26, 10-20) dropped both games of the series-finale doubleheader versus Arkansas-Monticello (27-11, 20-6) on Saturday at Sully Anderson Field in Arkadelphia. The Tigers were in both games late, falling by a final score of 1-0 in game one and 7-5 in game two. Kelly Powell went 4-6 on the day, scoring one and swiping two bases. Marissa Butler struck out seven batter in game two, giving her 19 punch outs for the series.

Macy Nantz got the start in game one and allowed only three hits in 6.2 innings. She did not allow a walk in the game and...
