Alva Utility Authority listens to public comments on proposed rate increases

The Alva Utility Authority did not manage to make a quorum Tuesday night to discuss proposed water and trash rate increases to help Alva make up its $2 million shortfall from falling sales tax revenue. They did stay around for 1.5 hours and listen to opinions from citiziens that they will take into consideration when forming the new rates.
