Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb tells about the history of the Lt. Governor's Turkey Hunt in a video clip at www.AlvaReviewCourier.com. This is the 31st annual Lt. Governor's Turkey Hunt. Lamb said, "We're in Alva, which is one of the first primary venues for the hunt. We have now added hunts in Woodward, Elk City, Duncan, Okeema, Ardmore and Hugo. On Wednesday, they had a kick-off luncheon at the Oklahoma History Center." Then he traveled to Elk City; next, to Woodward at Boiling Springs State Park and, in the evening, to Alva. Lamb said "We are seeing a lot of business interest here with people from Arizona to Mississippi. The purpose of the hunt is for economic development. We have the opportunity to talk to these businesses and site-selectors in a casual environment and to see some of Oklahoma's most beautiful landscapes, including our canyons, valleys and plains, along with some of our wildlife."
