Questions answered, ideas offered on Alva rate increases

Alva Mayor Kelly Parker waited with a bit of trepidation for the public hearing to begin Tuesday evening, April 11. Seats were filling quickly in the city council chambers as citizens gathered to ask questions of the Alva Utility Authority (AUA) made up of city council members. Everyone in town and many in the surrounding area will be affected by proposed increased utility rates (water, sewer, garbage).
