Tigers topple Rangers 12-2 in eight innings

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers' baseball team (12-27, 9-16 GAC) defeated Northwestern Oklahoma (11-27, 6-19 GAC) by a final score of 12-2 in eight innings of action Thursday afternoon.

The game ended early after Ouachita scored six eighth-inning runs to give them a 10-run lead and enact the run rule. Jakahari Howell hit a triple and batted in three runs for the Tigers, while Ty Owens and Kyle Alexander picked up two RBI each. John Franklin Matros (4-3) picked up the win for the Tigers and struck out six batters in six innings of action.
