Suspect hides in attic to avoid officers

• Wanted on felony arrest warrant

A suspect hiding in an attic drew officers from the Alva Police Department and Woods County Sheriff's Office to on Hart Street Saturday, April 8. The man was wanted on a Woods County felony warrant.

Several Alva police officers went to a duplex on Hart Street Saturday, April 8, where the original call about an aggressive dog ended with convincing a man to come out of an attic.

The incident started about 6:20 p.m. when Woods County dispatch received a call about an aggressive dog near the Aspen Apartments. Officers Kyle Fuller, Keith Dale and Tim Clapp arrived in the area a few minutes later. After driving around the apartments, Fuller turned onto Hart Street and saw a woman with a dog matching the description walking into a duplex apartment at 622 Hart just to the west of the Aspen Apartm...
