Alva does exceedingly well on History EOI

Each year at the end of the second semester, Mr. Olbert’s junior history classes, along with history classes around the state, take the EOI. The EOI is essentially an accumulative test of all of the things learned throughout the year. Students are scored advanced, proficient, basic or below basic, with below basic being the lowest.

Recently, the scores needed for each of these levels were raised by ten points, making it harder for students to achieve proficient or advanced. After last year’s EOI test, there were doubts about how well the Alva students had done.
