Hillcats Fall, 12-4, in Series Opener to Lady Chaps

CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State softball team fell, 12-4, to Lubbock Christian on Sunday (April 23) in the first game of a three-game series at the Diamond Sports Complex.

In a game that featured five home runs, including three from RSU, the visiting Lady Chaps put together two big innings to pull away for the win.

LCU jumped on the Hillcats early with four runs in the first inning. Sydney Beuthien hit her first of two home runs, a two-run shot to left, to give the Lady Chaps an early 2-0 edge. With the bases loaded later in the first, a single through the infield plated one more run, and...
